Angelo H. Miño, an active and passionate member of the Freemasonry community, was born to his father Gen. Gribaldo Miño-Tapia and mother Angela in Ecuador. He married Maria Eugenia Miño Vega, and together they raised three daughters, Grace Gettino, Doris Hiatt, and Ivette Powers, in Lenexa, Kansas. He was also a proud grandfather to five granddaughters, Enaam, Hanna, Emily, Savannah, and Ashlyn.
Angelo was an Executive Director for EARP Distribution Inc. and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people in both his professional and personal life. Helping kids was one of his biggest passions, and he showed that by being ‘Billy the bullwhacker’ and Mr. Wise, two school programs he created.
Angelo was a 32nd Degree Freemason and had many affiliations in various groups, including being the Past Master of Lenexa Masonic Lodge No. 35, a Junior Deacon at Gardner Masonic Lodge No. 65, and a member of Overland Park Masonic Lodge No. 436. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Shawnee, KS, the Traditional Martinist Order, Kiwanis, Shiners, York Rite, and a proud and active member of the Republican party.
Angelo was a true family man and devoted Catholic. He was known to be always ready to help anyone in need and could be best remembered for his iconic bowties and the frequently used, “Born in Ecuador, Made in America”.
Angelo was an influential figure in the Masonic community and was a strong push for the start of the Historical Light Masonic Podcast. He was featured in the original intro video as well as the final scene of the current intro video.
